Langen Biomed, formerly known as Integrated Electronic Systems (Shanghai) Ltd. (IES), was founded in 2008 by Mr. Zhou Jijun and Mr. Tom Cole as the first Chinese subsidiary of the UK-based ITL Group. Following ITL Group's acquisition by another UK-listed company in 2018, a significant organizational restructuring initiated by the new parent company in August 2023 unexpectedly forced IES – despite its stable operations – to cease operations, culminating in the dissolution of this 15-year enterprise.

In 2024, the management team reestablished its presence through two strategic entities:

• Langen Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (Commercial operations)

• Langen Biomed (Shanghai) Limited(Manufacturing & R&D)

Both entities operate under the unified Langen Biomed brand, sharing identical corporate DNA while maintaining specialized divisions of labor. This dual-structure revitalization continues the corporate legacy while forging new frontiers in biomedical innovation.
